Natural Resource Management Officer (Temporary)


An opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled person to take on the role of Natural Resource Management Officer part time position, for a 12-month period, and be part of the team based in the Shire Administration Office. This is a temporary position to fill the role due to maternity leave.

The successful applicant must possess good time management and communication skills as well as a friendly personality.  Applicants should have a good understanding of sustainable land use principles, farming practices and natural resource management in the Wheatbelt.

The role will assist in the promotion of natural resource management for Council, provide support to individual landholders and Bruce Rock LCDC, work with neighbouring Natural Resource Management Officers to achieve Regional funding and benefits.

The position is offered on a part-time basis, 16 hours over 2 – 3 days a week and, in line with the terms and conditions of the Local Government Industry Award.  Remuneration is offered between level 6 and 10 depending on skills and experience.  Other benefits include Council’s 5% over award payment and generous superannuation options.
