Practical Driving Assessment

The Shire of Bruce Rock conducts practical driving assessment for vehicle classes up to MR once per month.

You can either Book your PDA online or call Shire Administration on 08 90611377 to reserve a space for you.

You will need to bring with you:

  • Your learner's permit card or one form of primary identification and one form of secondary identification (one must include your signature. Refer to the website for more information);
  • Your completed Log Book (if applicable). If you have used the Learn&Log app to complete all of your hours, please submit the electronic declaration of completion at least 24 hours prior to your PDA; and
  • A licensed roadworthy vehicle of appropriate class. It is important to note that private C class vehicles must be fitted with a centrally mounted handbrake that the front passenger can operate if required.

  • Be 17 years of age or older at the time of the PDA;
  • Have recorded a minimum of 50 hours of supervised driving in your Log Book, including five hours of night time driving. Car (C) class applicants 25 years of age and over are exempt from the Log Book requirement;
  • Have successfully completed the relevant class specific Hazard Perception Test; and
