A Major Upgrade of the footpath and parking area in the main shopping area of Bruce Rock (Johnson Street) is being undertaken in January 2007. The main Objectives of this are to improve the look of the main street and to improve access from the parking area to the shops. This will be achieved by eliminating all steps, helping the aged, disabled and parents with youg children.

The work is being carried out by Council staff and will involve taking the drainage underground and brick paving the entire area, thus improving the look and feel of the main street. The project is expected to cost $300,000.00 and work is expected to be completed by the end of March 2007. Watch this space to see more as the project continues.
