Aquatic Centre Manager      

The Shire of Bruce Rock currently has a vacancy for a Pool Manager. We are seeking applications from people willing to take on the position of Bruce Rock Swimming Pool Manager, by September 2017. Applicants should be either:

  1. Qualified applicants with current LIWA accreditation; or
  2. Suitable persons willing to undertake the necessary training prior to 30 September 2017.It is our preference to appoint a Pool Manager whom is associated either directly or indirectly with Bruce Rock and who would be willing to commit to at least three years’ service in this position.

The Bruce Rock Pool Season traditionally runs from the start of October to the first week in April each year. Salary package would be part of a negotiated employment contract, including Shire staff housing (subject to availability) (approx. $55,000 to $65,000p.a. including allowances). The Shire of Bruce Rock would reimburse the applicant for training and associated out of pocket expenses upon commencement with the Shire.

The successful applicant would need to successfully complete the following training requirements prior to commencement:

  • Senior First Aid (2 days) either RLSSA or St Johns or equivalent
  • Royal Lifesaving Society Australia – Bronze Medallion and Pool Lifeguard Awards (3 days)
  • RLSSA Pool Operators Qualification (7 days in Perth)
  • Completion of 100 hours practical experience under supervision by an existing qualified Pool Manager. Successful sign off by the WA Health Department.
